School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)

For students with disabilities who are participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) program offers individualized assistance to transition from school to employment. SLES focuses on building skills, confidence, and independence through activities such as:

  • Work experience placements
  • Job readiness training
  • Travel training
  • Personal development programs

These supports are tailored to each individual's needs and are typically available for up to two years after leaving school. To access SLES, students should discuss their eligibility and goals with their NDIS planner or Local Area Coordinator.Explore Your Post-School Options
