Dean of Vocational Education and Training and Career Development
- Jane Bryer
Comet Bay College has a strong and well-established focus on Vocational Education and Career Development. As Career Development Dean, I lead a highly experienced and dedicated team who work collaboratively to provide students with access to a broad range of vocational qualification pathways across Years 11 and 12.
Workplace Learning (ADWPL) is a highly valued component of our vocational programs, enabling students to engage in meaningful workplace experiences while still at school. This program is supported by our Workplace Learning Officers, who assist students to secure suitable placements and provide ongoing support through regular workplace visits as students undertake industry-specific activities.
I firmly believe that students who engage in school-based vocational education graduate with a clear sense of direction, strengthened confidence, and the skills required to successfully transition into employment, training, or further study.
